E-Bike Tour

E-Bike Adventure
From the Aqua Montis Resort & Spa, take the cycle track into the Difesa forest, just behind the Resort. After a few kilometres, you’ll reach the area outside Rivisondoli and then take the cycle path to Pescocostanzo.
Just below the village, a descent will lead you to the area of the masserie, before reaching the nature reserve of the Bosco di Sant’Antonio.
This centuries-old beech forest, nestled in the heart of the Majella National Park, is a true spectacle for the eyes in every season, first and foremost autumn, when the foliage phenomenon tints the landscape gold, brown and red.
Returning to Pescocostanzo, you will ride a semi-dirt track uphill to Vallefura, and then enter Pescocostanzo, an enchanting medieval village with a long tradition for ironworking, lacemaking and goldsmithing, not to mention the ancient historical palazzos that draw its unmistakable fairy-tale profile.
Again, along the cycle path to Rivisondoli, a delightful village nestled in the heart of the Apennines, and then back to the Resort along a long cycle path.

BOSCO DI SANT’ANTONIO – PESCOCOSTANZO – LOOP ITINERARY RIVISONDOLI – PESCOCOSTANZO
Mountainbike Adventure
From the Aqua Montis Resort & Spa, taking the cycle path, you will cycle along the small village of Rivisondoli for about 4 km, heading into an immense valley along a dirt track for about 25 km.
You will observe breathtaking views as you pedal for about 16 km along the ss 17 to Fontanella vecchia napoleonica.
After passing through the tunnel, you proceed south towards the Church of the Madonna del Carmine, located on the slopes of the Madonna del Casale Mountain.
The return to the resort draws a loop through the valleys bordering the Cinquemiglia plateau.
Let yourself be overwhelmed by the beauty of endless open spaces: the vast fields of Solina wheat. The real gold of the area is this ancient and very precious wheat that is cultivated at an altitude of around 1,200 metres. Departing for Rivisondoli, you will then return to your hotel.

MADONNA DEL CASALE CHURCH – LOOP ROUTE FROM RIVISONDOLI
Road biking adventure
Take the cycle path just to the left as you leave the Aqua Montis Resort & Spa and set off for Palena. Continue to the Valico della Forchetta pass and then uphill to Fonte Romana.
From here, a long descent will take you to Pacentro, an enchanting medieval village with timeless charm. Towering over this little jewel of the Apennines, at 718 m on Mount Morrone, is the Caldora Castle, an ancient fortification that can still be visited and gives the village its fairytale atmosphere.
From here the ascent begins, passing through Cansano, another ancient pearl of this route, ending at the Bosco di Sant’Antonio, a splendid 100-year-old beech forest.
The route continues through Pescocostanzo, the fourth highest municipality in the Apennines, and passing through Rivisondoli, you will return to the Resort.
